Dear all,

I have an existing contract for Internet signed in October 2017 and valid until October 2019. I am a student in Austria and I almost finished my education here. Now I will do an ERASMUS+ semester in Germany.

I was in a T-Mobile office in Villach and tried to ask to remain T-Mobile client in Germany (to futher extend my T-Mobile membership outside of Austria). However, the employee explained to me that T-Mobile Austria and T-Mobile Germany are two different entities and transferring the Internet service is not possible. The employee also told me that I cannot use my Austrian T-Mobile cube in Germany since there is no cover outside of Austria).

 

So my questions are:

Is there a legal basis on which I can terminate my contract? (prooving that I leave the country and my residense will not be Austria & T-Mobile cannot provide me with the services I need)

OR

Can I somehow still use my Austrian T-Mobile internet in Germany?

Are you affected by the price change? If are affected, you could terminate the contract instantly.

If you leaf Austria and if you have a registration from the new country (Meldebestätigung) you could terminate the contract now, but you would have to pay until October.

The last option would be, to give to contract to an other person. It costs €49,90.

The only thing I could find regarding "price change" is this:
Weitere Leistungen & Gebühren
Servicepauschale jährlich (13.10.2018 bis 12.10.2019) 18,33€.

This service was added to my November payment (1 year after the contract was signed).

Is this service normal? I could not find it in the contract.

Hello!

The answer from IT-Freak is correct - you pay the "Servicepauschale " once a year, for every mobile phone or internet contract in austria (at least for all "big" providers like t-mobile, telering, A1, 3). Included services are different, but its for services like free hotline, customer zone online, paper bills and other services so you dont have to pay extra for them.
